Our story
Not a slogan — a habit we grew up with, told the way it happened.
It started with a walk to the village chakki
Our grandfathers didn't buy atta off a shelf. They bought wheat, bajra, sometimes jowar, mixed it according to their own taste, and carried it themselves to the village chakki.
They sat, they waited, they watched
They sat outside, read the newspaper, talked to whoever else was waiting, and went home with flour that was theirs from the first grain to the last.
Then the promise got printed, not proven
Somewhere along the way, that habit got replaced by a sealed packet. It said “chakki fresh” on the front, and we were just asked to believe it — no glass wall, no way to check, no choice in what went into the bag.
Chakki Adda brings the glass wall back
You still choose your grain. You still watch it get milled. We've just added a proper place to sit while you wait, and a way to prove — not just promise — that what comes back is exactly what went in.
A note on the word “organic”
Under FSSAI’s Organic Foods Regulations, 2017, only grains sourced from NPOP or PGS-India certified farms can be sold as organic. We mark those grains clearly with a certified-organic badge. Everything else on this site is fresh and traceable to a named farm or mandi — just not labelled organic, because it shouldn’t be unless it truly is.
